The term “Veteran” means a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service, and who was discharged or released therefrom under conditions other than dishonorable (see 38 U.S.C. § 101(2)). The term “Active Duty” shall be construed to align with the definition provided for in 38 U.S.C. § 101(21). The term “Active Duty” means (a) full-time duty in the Armed Forces, other than active duty for training; (b) full-time duty (other than for training purposes) as a commission officer of the Regular or Reserve Corps of the Public Health Service; (c) full-time duty as a commissioned officer of the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration or its predecessor organization the Coast and Geodetic Survey; (d) service as a cadet at the United States Military, Air Force, or Coast Guard Academy, or as a midshipman a the United States Naval Academy; and (e) authorized travel to or from such duty or service (see 38 U.S.C. § 101(21) for further specificity in regards to subsections (b), (c) and (d)). In the event the definitions provided herein are deemed to be vague, this provision shall coincide with the definitions stipulated in the United States Code, Title 38 Veterans’ Benefits Definitions. The Company reserves the right to adjust the Discount from time to time, and, in the event of said adjustment, Company agrees to update this provision promptly.
